THER BREATH TEST (Helicobacter pylori)
- The patient must be fasting for 8 hours, during which they must not have smoked either.
- To avoid false negative results, the test should not be performed until 4 weeks after the administration of antibiotics and 2 weeks after the last administration of gastric protectors.
- Taking H2 receptor antagonists (ranitidine) does not affect the test result.
